With Valentines’ Day being tomorrow we hope that you are able to be home with your loved ones.  Valentines’ Day is not just for sweethearts, but we like to celebrate this day making it about the love of family and good friends as well; whether it be your children, parents, or even your favorite pets.  We hope you are able to spend Valentines’ Day with those you love.

CSI wishes all our carriers a Happy Valentines’ Day and we appreciate every single one of you!  We hope all of our carriers travel safe during the winter months (and all the time) no matter where you may be headed – Florida to Washington or New York to California. Remember we are here for you should you need it! In the mean time read about the new committee assigned to updating classrooms and new behind the wheel truck driver training and make sure your drivers are all trained well for everyone’s safety.

FMCSA Establishes Committee to Update Truck and Bus Driver Training
First Public Meeting Scheduled for Feb. 26-27

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) today announced the formation of a 26-member advisory committee that is tasked with updating classroom and new behind-the-wheel training requirements for professional truck and bus drivers.
“Over the next 30 years, we’re going to be relying on trucks – and truckers – to move more than 40 percent more freight than they currently do,” said U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx. “With more people and freight crossing our country than ever before, this committee’s work will be critical to ensuring that commercial drivers are fully capable of operating their vehicles safely.”
